Five Stars Resort in Egypt

Egypt

Most people associate Egypt with The Giza Pyramids complex, the Great Sphinx, Mummies, Pharaohs and everything related to the old Egyptians and the vast concept of Egyptology. Of course, this is a great topic and a huge part of the Egyptian culture and history. But this country is much more than just its history, it is one of the most authentic and individual countries ever visited. Their unique way of being can be seen, tasted, smelled and touched. Egypt should be on everybody’s travel list.

If you are planning to visit Egypt, you are probably planning to spend your time in a resort town, near the beach. For us, our best choice was Hurghada. It was relatively close to Cairo and the area is filled with amazing resorts.

The Choice

After spending a few days to research the hotels and resorts in the area, we have finally decided to go for Titanic Royal in Hurghada. The hotel has great reviews everywhere, it looked amazing in pictures (posted by travelers) and it was a relatively new hotel. We chose a Titanic hotel because we have previously stayed in Titanic Group hotels (in Turkey) and our stay there was impeccable.

If you are planning to go to an all-inclusive resort and have a hard time making a choice, I recommend reading this article first:

Since the decision was made, for this particular holiday, we have chosen to book it through an agency. The option was great if you don’t want to spend time looking for flights, transportation and to plan piece by piece the holiday.

The all-inclusive holidays in Egypt are a little bit tricky. You can choose a flight and suddenly discover that you can only be checked-in at the hotel in a particular day. This happens because the vacation is sold as a package deal, with charter flights and for each flight (once or twice a week) you have a check-in date. So, if you want a do-it-yourself trip, first check the agency sold packages to be sure when you can go to your hotel. For us, being a last-minute trip, it was much easier to book it through an agency and we don’t regret it.

The Resort

The hotel was impeccable. From the very first moment you see it, you will love it. It is a very big, stylish and luxurious resort. The front desk staff was amazing and very helpful. This is the kind of place where you feel welcomed, not just a customer.

We had booked a Pool View Double Room. The room was very big and we had everything we needed there. The Pool View was worth every second, especially at night, when their gorgeous pools are beautifully lightened and the fountains start.

Food, drinks, pools and activities

Their buffet restaurant is very big and you have a lot of options, but our dinners were spent mostly at their a la carte restaurants. There are five a la carte restaurants with different cuisines to chose from. We loved and had a lot of fun at the Teppanyaki Restaurant.

For the drinks part, I will just say that I was just a little bit surprised with the fact that the ultra-all-inclusive concept is a little bit different in Egypt. It usually gives you international beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The adults’ beverages were actually local, not international and sometimes had a little sanitary alcohol smell and didn’t taste that smooth.

Why here?

The main reason behind this particular hotel choice, were not only the great reviews, the families and couples only concept or even the five stars awarded, it was the fact that it had a great beach.

Most resorts in Egypt, don’t have beach with smooth sand and easy entrance in the water. They are generally located in a rocky area and the entrance in the water should be made from a pier. The fact that it had a sandy beach, made it easy to enter in the water, without it being very deep from the beginning.

For some, it may be even too smooth. You have to walk for at least 200m in the water to get to a depth of one meter. After you get to this particular depth, the fun begins. There are corals and beautifully colored fish. Honestly, this is one of the first things that pops in my memory when I think about our holiday in Egypt.

The colored fish and coral reef are usually observed if you go to organized diving tours, but here, they are just a few steps away from your room and you can dive with them every single day.

This was the main reason to book this particular hotel and also the main reason to write this article. Nemo and his friends are…
